Bet calculator: returns for singles, accas, each way and Lucky 15

Enter your odds and stake and see the total stake, the returns and the profit. Mark a selection as void and it counts at odds of 1.00, the way bookmakers settle it. The maths is printed under every calculator.

An accumulator, called a parlay in the US, is one bet on several selections. One selection is a single, two a double and three a treble. A void selection counts at 1.00, so the bet carries on with the others. One lost selection loses the whole bet.

returns = stake × odds 1 × odds 2 × ... · profit = returns - stake

Worked example

Calculation example

Example: a stake of 10 on 2.00, 1.80 and 2.50 is combined odds of 9.00, returns of 90 and a profit of 80. If the 1.80 selection is void, the odds drop to 5.00 and the returns to 50.

Double and treble calculator

Two or three selections in one bet, to win only or each way.

A double is two selections in one bet and a treble is three. Every selection has to win, so the odds multiply. Bet it each way and you place two bets of the same stake: one to win and one at the place odds, so the total stake doubles.

double returns = stake × odds 1 × odds 2 · treble returns = stake × odds 1 × odds 2 × odds 3

Worked example

Calculation example

Example: a stake of 10 on a double at 1.50 and 2.20 returns 33. Add a third selection at 1.80 and the treble returns 59.40.

Each way calculator

Two bets of the same stake: one for the selection to win and one for it to place.

The place part pays a fraction of the win odds, set by the place terms, when the selection finishes in the places. If it wins, both parts pay. If it places without winning, only the place part pays. Dead heats and Rule 4 deductions are not included.

place odds = 1 + (decimal odds - 1) × place terms · total stake = 2 × stake per part

Worked example

Calculation example

Example: 5 each way at 5/1 (6.00) with 1/4 odds is a total stake of 10. The place odds are 1 + 5 × 1/4 = 2.25. If it wins, the returns are 30 + 11.25 = 41.25. If it only places, the returns are 11.25, a profit of 1.25.

One winner is enough for a return. Each way doubles it to 30 bets and doubles the total stake. Many bookmakers add bonuses, such as double odds when only one selection wins. Those differ from bookmaker to bookmaker and are not included here, and neither are dead heats or Rule 4 deductions.

returns = the sum of all 15 bets, each one stake × the odds of its selections multiplied together

Worked example

Calculation example

Example: a stake of 1 per bet on four selections at 2.00 is a total stake of 15. If all four win, the returns are 8 + 24 + 32 + 16 = 80. With three winners they are 6 + 12 + 8 = 26, a profit of 11.
